2020 OAM Fall Conference Goes Virtual

The 2020 Fall Conference will be held on the same dates but in a different format this year due to the pandemic.  The Conference will include a total of 12.5 hours of Judicial College CLE, which includes judicial professional conduct CLE.    Unfortunately, the hotel and OAM must comply with the COVID-19 social distancing requirements and we have converted the in person live planned content into a 3-day live webinar conference.

The schedule is provided below so you may save the date and plan accordingly. The schedule has the conference complete by 1:30pm on two of the three days giving members flexibility to still have hearings or perform other court responsibilities in the afternoon.

Although the method of delivery will be different, we will still have quality CLE from engaging presenters. The networking and in person presentations will be missed, but the same valuable content will be offered.

The headline speaker for Wednesday is author, attorney, and speaker, James Robenalt. He recently wrote, Ballots and Bullets: Black Power Politics and Urban Guerrilla Warfare in 1968 Cleveland.  Mr. Robenalt is also known for his CLE presentations at the national level called “The Watergate CLE”.  He has numerous other books and currently is a partner with Thompson, Hine, LLP. in Cleveland.

Another interesting offering for Friday will be Women’s Right to Vote in Ohio, presented by Magistrate Lynn McLaughlin Murry.  These are but two of the incredible offerings planned.

Although the method of delivery for this Fall Conference will be different, the incredible content and quality CLE will not.  A brochure and more specific information with sign –up information will be sent out in about a month. But mark your calendars today!
